4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)

1/2 cup Nutella

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Cooking spray or melted butter (for greasing)

Instructions
 

Prepare the filling: In a small bowl, mix the Nutella and cinnamon (if using) until well combined.

    Assemble the pies: Lay out two slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous tablespoon of Nutella mixture in the center of each slice, leaving about 1/2 inch border around the edges. Top with the other two slices of bread.

      Seal the edges: Use a fork to press down around the edges of each sandwich to seal them. This will help keep the filling from leaking out during cooking.

        Egg wash: In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the mixture over the top of each toast pie to give it a beautiful golden color when cooked.
