Ingredients

1 large apple (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon butter, melted

4 large flour tortillas

½ cup cream cheese, softened

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for thickening)

¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

½ cup powdered sugar (for drizzling)

1 tablespoon milk or cream (for thinning)

Instructions

Prepare the Apples: In a medium bowl, combine the apple slices with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well to coat the apples evenly and set aside to allow them to marinate for about 10 minutes.

Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and all-purpose flour until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Assemble the Roll-Ups: Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges. Place a few spoonfuls of the marinated apple slices in a line across the center of the tortilla; add some chopped nuts if using.

Roll It Up: Carefully roll the tortilla tightly from one end to the other, securing the filling inside. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas.

Cook the Roll-Ups: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once hot, place the rolled tortillas seam side down in the skillet. Cook each side for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and slightly crisped.

Prepare the Drizzle: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk or cream until you get a drizzle-able consistency. Adjust the thickness by adding more milk or sugar as needed.

Serve: Remove the roll-ups from the skillet and slice them into bite-sized pieces. Drizzle with the powdered sugar glaze and serve warm.
