For the glaze:

2-3 tbsp milk

Instructions

Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warmed milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

Mix ingredients: Add melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture, then gradually add in the flour and salt. Mix until a dough forms; then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

First rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the apple filling: In a bowl, mix together the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Set aside.

Roll out the dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle, approximately 1/4-inch thick.

Add the cinnamon roll filling: Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough.

Layer the apple filling: Distribute the apple mixture evenly over the cinnamon sugar layer, pressing it down slightly to adhere.

Roll it up: Starting from the long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams to seal.

Slice into rolls: Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices and place them in a greased baking dish.

Second rise: Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.

Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool for about 10 minutes after pulling them out of the oven.

Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust consistency to your liking.

Glaze the rolls: Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve!
