Chicken thighs have rapidly gained popularity in the culinary world, and for good reason. Unlike chicken breasts, which can sometimes be dry and lack flavor, chicken thighs are known for their juiciness and rich taste. This is particularly true when they are cooked with the skin on, as the fat renders down and keeps the meat moist throughout the cooking process. Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Thighs elevate this classic cut of meat, combining it with flavors that truly shine.

Ingredients

6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil mix)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Make the Garlic Parmesan Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian herbs, paprika, and olive oil. Mix until the ingredients are well-combined and resemble a crumbly topping.

Coat the Chicken: Evenly sprinkle the garlic Parmesan mixture over the chicken thighs, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Press the mixture down gently but firmly to help it adhere during baking.

Bake the Chicken: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a burst of freshness.
