Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup refried beans

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 large flour tortillas

½ cup sour cream

½ cup salsa

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the spices infuse.

On a clean surface, lay out one flour tortilla. Spread ¼ cup of refried beans in the center of the tortilla, followed by a quarter of the beef mixture and ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up from the bottom to the top, creating a burrito. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.

Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat. Place the burritos seam-side down on the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and the cheese has melted.

Remove the burritos from the pan and let them cool for a minute. Serve them warm with sour cream, salsa, and garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
