Ingredients

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, olive oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. If using, add the sesame oil. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp (reserve remaining marinade) in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

Add the Marinade: Pour in the reserved marinade and let it bubble for about 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Stir occasionally to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated.

Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.

Serve: Transfer the shrimp to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over steamed rice or with sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
