8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

8 oz smoked salmon, sliced

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced

Capers for garnish

Fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Olive oil for brushing

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush each side with olive oil.

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Once the crostini are out of the oven and slightly cooled, spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice.

Lay pieces of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.

Add thin slices of red onion and cucumber on top of the salmon for added crunch and flavor.

Garnish each crostini with a few capers and a small sprig of fresh dill.

Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving for best taste. Enjoy your delightful Easter appetizer!
