1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

_For the Mac and Cheese:_

1 lb elbow macaroni or cavatappi pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

1 cup panko bread crumbs

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster: In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, add the chopped lobster meat, season with salt and pepper, and heat until just warmed through (about 3-4 minutes). Set aside.

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes, forming a roux. Gradually add the whole milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens and is smooth (about 5-7 minutes).

Add Cheese: Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the cheddar and Gruyère cheese until melted and creamy. Season the sauce with mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Combine Pasta and Lobster: Fold the cooked pasta and the sautéed lobster into the cheese sauce, mixing well to combine and ensure everything is evenly coated.

Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the lobster mac and cheese mixture into a greased 3-quart baking dish.

Make the Topping: In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated. Spread the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the mac and cheese.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
