Ingredients

For the Cajun Seasoning:

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

For the Pasta:

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Steak and Shrimp:

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (from the above recipe)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Cajun Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Cajun seasoning until well combined. Set aside.

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving about ½ cup of pasta water.

Cook the Steak: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if necessary. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. Finally, mix in the cooked steak and shrimp, tossing everything together gently to combine.

Garnish and Serve: Serve immediately, garnishing with fresh parsley. Enjoy your Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo!
