1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 cup melted butter

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Vegetable oil for frying

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)

Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

    Heat the Oil: In a deep pot or skillet, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

      Fry the Bites: Using a small cookie scoop or teaspoon, drop balls of the batter into the hot oil (be careful not to overcrowd the pot). Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Transfer the cooked churro bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
