Ingredients

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1-2 fresh jalapeños, diced (seeded for less heat)

4 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage (optional)

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Biscuit Cups:

      - Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.

        - Flatten each biscuit slightly and press them into the cups of a greased muffin tin, making sure to press the dough up the sides to form a cup shape.

          Mix the Filling:

            - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

              - Stir in the diced jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled sausage if using.

                Fill the Biscuit Cups:

                  - Carefully pour the egg mixture into each biscuit cup, filling them until just about full. The mixture will puff up while baking, so don’t overfill.

                    Bake:

                      - Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the egg is set.

                        Cool and Serve:

                          - Once baked, remove the biscuit cups from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Carefully remove them from the muffin tin.

                            - Garnish with fresh cilantro or sliced green onions if desired. Serve warm.
