Ingredients

1 French baguette, sliced into 1-inch pieces

2 cups assorted deli meats (salami, prosciutto, chorizo)

1 cup assorted cheeses (cheddar, gouda, brie), shredded or cubed

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup green olives, pitted and sliced

1 cup baby spinach, chopped

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley, rosemary)

Instructions

Prepare the Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.

Layer the Bread: Arrange the sliced baguette pieces in an even layer across the bottom of the casserole dish.

Add the Meats and Cheeses: Evenly distribute the assorted deli meats and cheeses over the bread. You can mix and match as per your taste preferences.

Toss in the Veggies: Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes, sliced olives, and chopped spinach on top of the meat and cheese layer.

Mix the Custard: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Combine and Soak: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the casserole dish. Use a spatula to gently press down on the contents to ensure that the bread absorbs the custard.

Bake: Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs before slicing into squares and serving warm.
