1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons instant espresso powder

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Sea salt flakes for sprinkling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and well combined.

      Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and instant espresso powder.
