Ingredients

4 (6-8 oz) swordfish steaks

1/4 cup olive oil

Juice and zest of 2 limes

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Swordfish: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Prepare the Fish: Place the swordfish steaks in the bowl with the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes but preferably 1-2 hours for maximum flavor infusion.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure coals are ashed over, and if using a gas grill, let it heat up for about 10 minutes.

Grill the Swordfish: Remove the swordfish from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the fish on the hot grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the swordfish flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.

Serve: Once cooked, transfer the grilled swordfish to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over.

Enjoy!: Pair your Chili Lime Grilled Swordfish with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a delightful meal!
