Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

2 large eggs

2 large egg yolks

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Pinch of salt

Cocoa powder (for dusting)

Optional: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with cocoa powder, tapping out the excess.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended and slightly frothy.

Carefully fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until fully combined.

Gently sift the flour and a pinch of salt into the mixture, folding until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for 1 minute. Run a knife around the edges to loosen, then invert onto plates.

Serve immediately while the center is molten, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top, if desired.
