Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)

4 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1/4 cup maple syrup (for serving)

Butter or cooking spray (for greasing the baking dish)

Fresh berries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or spray it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate each roll. Cut each roll into quarters (you should have about 32 pieces).

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until fully combined.

Combine Rolls and Egg Mixture: Place the quartered cinnamon roll pieces into the bowl with the egg mixture. Gently fold the pieces into the mixture until they are well coated. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to soak up the liquid.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the coated cinnamon roll bites into the prepared baking dish, spreading them out evenly.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the egg mixture is set and the top is golden brown.

Prepare the Icing: While the bites are baking, prepare the icing by gently warming it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds until it's a drizzly consistency.

Serve: Once the French toast bites are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the warmed icing over the top. Serve with maple syrup and a sprinkle of fresh berries if desired.
