Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

½ cup packed brown sugar

⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

½ cup mini chocolate chips

¼ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Serving options: graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, or vanilla wafers

Instructions

Heat Treat the Flour: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the all-purpose flour on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes, just until slightly golden. This step eliminates any raw taste and makes it safe to eat. Let it cool completely.

Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a medium mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Vanilla and Salt: Mix in the vanilla extract and salt until well combined.

Incorporate Flour Gradually: Gradually add in the cooled flour and mix until combined. The batter will be thick.

Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Slowly stir in the sweetened condensed milk, mixing on low speed until the dip is smooth and creamy.

Fold in Chocolate Chips and Nuts: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and, if desired, chopped walnuts for an added crunch.

Serve: Transfer the dip into a serving bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld if desired, then serve with your choice of graham crackers, apple slices, pretzels, or vanilla wafers.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 8-10
