Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup mini chocolate chips

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for coating)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smooth coating)

Instructions

Prepare the Flour: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the all-purpose flour on a baking sheet and toast it in the oven for about 5-7 minutes to eliminate any harmful bacteria. Let it cool completely before using.

Make the Cookie Dough: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.

Incorporate the Flour: Gradually add the cooled flour to the mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

Chill the Dough: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes, until firm.

Form the Truffles: Once the dough is chilled, use a cookie scoop or your hands to form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Prepare the Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.

Coat the Truffles: Dip each cookie dough ball into the melted chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift the truffles out and let any excess chocolate drip off. Return them to the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Set the Coating: Once all truffles are coated, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely set.

Serve: Enjoy your delightful cookie dough truffles! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
