Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup buffalo hot sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prep the Chickpeas: After rinsing the chickpeas, make sure they are well-drained. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible. This helps achieve that desired crispiness.

Season the Chickpeas: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chickpeas and toss until they are well-coated with the seasoning mixture.

Bake the Chickpeas: Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

Add Buffalo Flavor: Remove the chickpeas from the oven and immediately drizzle the buffalo hot sauce over them. Toss well to ensure they are evenly coated.

Bake Again: Return the sauced chickpeas to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until they are nicely glazed with the hot sauce and have reached your desired level of crispiness.

Finish with Ranch Flavor: Once out of the oven, sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the hot chickpeas and toss to combine.

Serve: Allow the chickpeas to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy warm as a snack or feel free to add them to salads or grain bowls for an extra kick!
