1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup tahini

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt to taste

Water, as needed for consistency

Optional garnishes: paprika, chopped parsley, or a drizzle of olive oil

Instructions
 

Place the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt into a food processor.

    Blend the mixture on high speed until it is well combined and smooth. If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until your desired consistency is reached.

      Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or lemon juice if necessary.

        Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. If desired, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley for garnish.

          Serve immediately with pita bread, vegetable sticks, or your favorite snacks.
