2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon until well combined.

      Prepare Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until blended.

        Combine Ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix. The batter may be lumpy, which is okay.

          Prepare for Baking: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle generously with half the cinnamon sugar topping (1/8 cup sugar + 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon). Then pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top gets too dark, cover loosely with foil halfway through baking.

              Cool: Once baked, remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
