Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Vegetable oil, for frying

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

2 green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds.

Bread the chicken: Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then roll in panko breadcrumb mixture until well coated.

Fry the chicken: In a large skillet or deep frying pan, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the cooked chicken and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Make the sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

Coat the chicken: In a large bowl, toss the crispy chicken with the sauce until evenly coated.

Serve: Plate the sesame chicken and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately alongside steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
