Ingredients

1 package (16 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup pecans, chopped

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

Prep the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Make the Pecan Topping: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the chopped pecans. Pour this mixture evenly into the base of your prepared baking dish.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean, flat surface. Pinch the seams together to create a full sheet of dough.

Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough.

Roll the Dough: Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Once rolled, slice the log into 12 equal pieces. Each slice should be about 1 inch wide.

Arrange the Rolls: Place each sliced roll into the baking dish on top of the pecan mixture, cut side up. Make sure to leave a little space between each roll for them to puff up while baking.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the sticky topping is bubbling.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Invert the baking dish onto a serving platter and carefully lift it off to reveal the sticky buns atop the pecan mixture, which has now transformed into a gooey caramel sauce. Serve warm and enjoy!
