Ingredients

2 cups mini pretzels

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup granulated sugar

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained

1 cup shredded coconut (optional)

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the mini pretzels and melted butter, mixing until the pretzels are well coated. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet.

Bake the pretzels in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even coating and toasting. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

In a separate large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.

Add the drained crushed pineapple, coconut, and chopped nuts (if using) to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until well combined.

Finally, fold in the cooled pretzel mixture, ensuring an even distribution.

Transfer the salad to a serving dish or cover and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until set and chilled.

Serve chilled and enjoy the delightful combination of sweet, salty, and creamy flavors!
