Ingredients

1 box of brownie mix (any flavor)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is well blended and smooth.

Add Flour and Leavening Agents: Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Incorporate the Goodies: Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops look slightly cracked.

Cool Down: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy: Once cooled, serve and enjoy your chewy, brownie-like cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!
