Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 ounces linguine or spaghetti

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

½ cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)

1 lemon, juiced and zested

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.

Deglaze with Wine: Pour in the white wine and scrape any flavorful bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until the wine reduces slightly.

Combine and Finish: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to achieve your desired sauce consistency. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, and finish with fresh parsley.

Serve: Remove from the heat, adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary, and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra zest.
