Ingredients

1 bag of nacho cheese-flavored Doritos

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 egg

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

Oil for frying

Optional: Fresh jalapeños, sliced, for an extra kick

Instructions

Prepare the Cheese Filling: In a bowl, combine the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Mix until well combined, then set aside.

Prep the Doritos: Carefully take two Doritos and spread a generous teaspoon of the cheese mixture on one Dorito. Press the second Dorito on top to form a sandwich. Ensure the filling is evenly distributed and the edges are pressed to seal.

Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.

Bread the Doritos: Carefully dip each stuffed Dorito in flour, ensuring it's coated, then into the beaten egg, followed by the breadcrumbs. Press gently to make sure the coating sticks well.

Heat the Oil: In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat about 3 inches of oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C). You can test if it's ready by dropping a small piece of bread in; if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough.

Fry the Stuffed Doritos: Working in batches, gently place the breaded Doritos in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Be cautious not to overcrowd the pan.

Drain: Once fried, remove the Doritos with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serve: Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy salsa!
