Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Pinch of salt

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, coconut flakes, or extra banana slices

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and mash them in a medium bowl until smooth. You can use a fork or a potato masher for this.

Make the Yogurt Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the ingredients are completely blended.

Incorporate Cocoa Powder: Sift the cocoa powder over the yogurt mixture to avoid lumps, then fold it in gently with a spatula or wooden spoon until fully incorporated.

Add Bananas & Chocolate Chips: Fold the mashed bananas and mini chocolate chips into the yogurt-cocoa mixture. Ensure it’s mixed evenly, but don’t over-mix to keep some texture.

Fill the Cups: Line a muffin tin with paper liners or silicone molds for easy removal. Evenly distribute the choco-banana yogurt mixture into the cups, filling them about 3/4 full.

Top & Freeze: Sprinkle some extra chocolate chips and any desired toppings (like crushed nuts or coconut flakes) on top of each cup. Place the muffin tin in the freezer.

Freeze Until Firm: Allow the cups to freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.

Serve: Once frozen, remove the cups from the tin and peel off the liners. Enjoy immediately for a refreshing treat. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
