Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.

Cook the Salmon: Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable). Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway up the sides.

Flip the Fillets: Carefully flip the salmon using a spatula and reduce the heat to medium.

Add Garlic Butter: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan along with the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant but not burnt.

Baste the Salmon: As the garlic butter bubbles, use a spoon to continuously baste the salmon fillets, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.

Add Lemon Juice and Parsley: Remove the skillet from the heat, stir in the lemon juice and parsley, and spoon the buttery mixture over the salmon.

Serve: Plate the salmon, drizzle with the garlic butter, and garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges.
