Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and golden, but not burnt. Remove it from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.

Combine and Pour: Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the salmon fillets, making sure they're well coated.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your liking.

Garnish: Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley for freshness.

Serve: Serve the garlic butter salmon with lemon wedges on the side, allowing diners to squeeze additional lemon juice over their fillets if desired.
