Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. If using metal skewers, no preparation is necessary.

Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss to coat all the shrimp evenly. Cover the bowl and let marinate in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat (around 375°F to 400°F).

Skewer the Shrimp: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers or metal skewers, placing them close together but not overcrowded.

Grill the Skewers: Place the shrimp skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, brushing with any remaining marinade as they cook.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.

Enjoy! Serve your Garlic Butter Shrimp Skewers warm as an appetizer or a main dish over rice or a salad.
