Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Rinse and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any yellow leaves and cutting them in half.

Make the Seasoning Mix: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk together until well mixed.

Toss the Brussels Sprouts: Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl with the seasoning mix. Toss well to ensure that the sprouts are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.

Roast the Sprouts: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the sprouts are tender, stirring halfway through for even cooking.

Add Parmesan: Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot sprouts. Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finish with Lemon Juice: Once done, take the sprouts out of the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Toss gently to combine.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
