Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups green cabbage, shredded

1 cup carrots, grated

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup beef broth or water

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Sauté Vegetables: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Mix well to combine everything.

Season: Sprinkle in the paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the seasoning is evenly distributed.

Add Liquid: Pour in the beef broth or water, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Cook: Cover the skillet and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is wilted and tender.

Taste and Adjust: Check the seasoning and add more salt and pepper if needed.

Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot!
