1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Optional: fresh berries and whipped cream for serving

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini cake pan or line it with paper liners.

    Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together until well blended.

      Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and well incorporated.

        Combine Ingredients: Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

          Fill the Cake Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini cake pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full to allow for rising.

            Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cake comes out clean.

              Cool: Once baked, remove the mini cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

                Serve: Dust the cooled mini soft cakes with powdered sugar. Optionally, serve with fresh berries and a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of heavenly sweetness.
