Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, making sure they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Oven: When ready to cook, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess sauce to drip off (reserve the marinade).

Sear the Chicken: In an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, place the chicken thighs skin-side down. Sear for about 5-7 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy. Flip the chicken thighs and sear the other side for another 5 minutes.

Bake with Marinade: Pour the reserved marinade over the seared chicken thighs in the skillet. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the sauce is bubbly.

Glaze the Chicken: For an extra sticky glaze, turn on the broiler for the last 3-5 minutes of cooking. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice or roasted vegetables to soak up the delicious sauce.
