Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, and lemon juice until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow the salmon to marinate for about 5 minutes while you preheat your pan.

Preheat the Pan: Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Flip and Glaze: Carefully flip the salmon and pour the remaining marinade into the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce for extra flavor.

Check for Doneness: The salmon should be cooked through and flaky. If you prefer it medium-rare, remove from heat when it still has a slight translucence in the center.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from heat, then sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve the salmon hot, drizzled with any remaining sauce from the pan.
