Honey Garlic Shrimp Sausage and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb chicken sausage, sliced (or your preferred sausage)

4 cups broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well and set aside.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Season them with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the sausage.

        Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and a splash of water to steam. Cover the skillet and let the broccoli cook for about 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.

          Combine Ingredients: Lower the heat to medium-low and return the cooked sausage and shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic marinade over the mixture, tossing to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

            Garnish & Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the dish. Serve warm and enjoy your warm bowl of honey garlic goodness!
