Honey Glazed Teriyaki Tuna

2 fresh tuna steaks (about 6 ounces each)

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon grated ginger

2 teaspoons cornstarch

2 teaspoons water

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Olive oil for grilling

Salt and pepper to taste

Marinate the Tuna: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until well blended. Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

    Prepare the Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup of the marinade with cornstarch mixed in 2 teaspoons of water. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat.

      Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

        Grill the Tuna: Remove the tuna from the marinade, and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the tuna steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare (or longer if you prefer more cooked).
