1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably lean)

4 cups green cabbage, chopped

1 medium onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by chopping the cabbage, slicing the onion and bell pepper, and mincing the garlic and ginger. Set aside.

    Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

      Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger into the beef and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

        Incorporate Vegetables: Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.

          Add Cabbage: Toss in the chopped cabbage, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the cabbage has wilted but still retains some crunch.

            Season: Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes (if using), and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.

              Garnish and Serve: Once the vegetables are cooked to your preference, remove the pan from heat. Top the stir fry with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
