2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)

¼ cup chopped pecans (for garnish)

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, add the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts.

Make the dressing: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.

Combine: Pour the dressing over the Brussels sprouts and toss until they are evenly coated.

Roast: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges, tossing halfway through cooking for even browning.

Garnish: Once roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired for an extra burst of flavor.

Serve and enjoy: Serve warm as a delicious side dish to accompany your favorite main courses!
