Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Place salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, pour the marinade over the fish, and ensure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for maximum flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Pour any leftover marinade evenly over the fish.

Roast: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Garnish & Serve: Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven. Garnish with fresh parsley and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed asparagus or garlic mashed potatoes.
