1 pound ground beef

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 cup cooked and chopped bacon

2 cups marinara sauce

3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 package (16 oz) penne pasta

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

    In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.

      Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.

        Meanwhile, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

          In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, meat mixture, half of the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and bacon. Stir until well combined.

            Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly.

              Top the casserole with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

                Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

                  Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
