Ingredients

1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil (for frying)

8 slider buns

1 cup dill pickles (sliced)

½ cup Nashville hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight for the best flavor).

Prepare the Breading: In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Bread the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Chicken: Carefully place the breaded chicken into the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C). Transfer the fried chicken to a wire rack to drain excess oil.

Assemble Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half and toast lightly if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a piece of fried chicken, drizzle generously with Nashville hot honey, and add a few dill pickle slices. For an extra crunch, add a spoonful of coleslaw.

Complete the Sandwich: Place the top half of the bun on each slider. Drizzle more hot honey on the top if desired and garnish with fresh parsley.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve warm. Enjoy the sweet, spicy, and crispy flavors with your choice of sides!
