Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until the mixture is fluffy and well combined.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped mini peanut butter cups. The dough will be thick and sticky.

Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, pressing it down gently with a spatula to smooth the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter).

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper (if used) and let cool completely on the wire rack before cutting into squares.

Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the gooey, peanut buttery goodness!
