Ingredients

8 oz pasta (your choice, e.g., penne, fusilli)

1 cup broccoli florets

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, boil water and add a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. In the final 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta. Once done, drain both and set aside.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced chicken breasts, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook for 2 minutes, then stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta and broccoli. Stir well to combine, allowing the sauce to coat all the ingredients. Let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Add Cheese: Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well incorporated.

Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm. Enjoy your Quick and Easy Chicken Broccoli Pasta!
