Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (100g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (180g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

15 OREO cookies, roughly chopped

Additional OREO cookies for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and well-blended.

Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and the chopped OREO cookies, mixing gently to distribute evenly throughout the batter.

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. If desired, press additional OREO cookies into the top of the batter for extra crunch and aesthetics.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10-15 minutes. Then, lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely before slicing into squares.

Serve as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat!
