Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup milk

1 cup rose milk (rose syrup mixed with milk)

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup chopped pistachios (for garnish)

Edible rose petals (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk and rose milk. Start and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice the cake into squares or rectangles.

Serve the slices garnished with chopped pistachios and a few edible rose petals for a beautiful presentation.
