Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup pretzel pieces (roughly broken)

3/4 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Sea salt for sprinkling on top

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined; do not overmix.

Fold in Pretzels and Caramel: Gently fold in the pretzel pieces and about half of the salted caramel sauce, making sure they're distributed throughout the batter.

Spread the Batter: Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle the remaining salted caramel sauce over the top, using a knife to swirl it slightly into the batter.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

Cool and Finish: Remove the blondies from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Once cool, remove them from the pan and transfer to a cutting board.

Slice and Serve: Cut into squares and sprinkle lightly with sea salt for the perfect finish. Enjoy these delectable sweet and salty treats!
