8 slices of white bread

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

12 breakfast sausage links (cooked)

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp maple syrup (for cream cheese mixture)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Butter for frying

Fresh fruits (optional, for serving)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with maple syrup until smooth. Set aside.

    Flatten the Bread: Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread to about half its thickness. This will make it easier to roll.

      Assemble the Roll-Ups: Spread about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened slice of bread. Place a cooked sausage link at one end, then roll the bread tightly around the sausage. Repeat for all slices.

        Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

          Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of butter over medium heat until melted and bubbly.

            Dip and Cook the Roll-Ups: Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, making sure to coat all sides. Place them seam-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and set. Add more butter to the skillet as needed.

              Dust and Serve: Once cooked, remove the roll-ups from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess butter. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Optionally, serve with fresh fruits on the side and extra maple syrup for dipping.
