Ingredients

1 large French baguette or Italian bread

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Slice the Bread: Cut the baguette or Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves. Place the halves cut side up on a baking sheet.

Spread the Mixture: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered sides, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Optional Broil: For an extra crispy topping, switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes, but keep a close eye to ensure it doesn’t burn.

Cool and Serve: Remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
